Edward Ballard (possibly his 2nd cousin) was occupier throughout the period. He subsequntly purchased the other moiety from Mr William Norris of (Wittersham?) in Jent.² Edward Ballard Property valued at £8 rent on which assessment of 5/- paid on 30 April 1798 at High Halden, Kent, , England.³ He witnessed the property of John Ballard between 1805 and 1814 at Tenterden, Kent, , England; Inherited property from father at his death.      Walter Ballard was baptized on 15 November 1741 at Horsmonden, Kent, , England.¹ He was the son of Isaac Ballard.¹ Walter Ballard left a will on 18 August 1817 at Horsmonden, Kent, , England.² He bequeathed to Isaac Ballard unto my brother Isaac Ballard the sum of three shillings weekly and every week for and during the term of his natural life the first payment thereof to commence and be made at the end of one week after my death.
