He received All of the residual estate after one legacy of £10 and his debts and funeral expenses have been paid. in Charles Taylor Ballard's will probated on 20 March 1771.¹

Title Petition for burgess admission : Humphrey Ballard
Description [LB3/1/596] in 1782. He died on 1 May 1816 at Presteigne, Radnorshire, , Wales, at age 80. He bore arms Sable a Griffin passant Ermine ducally gorged Or between two quatrefoils in chief and a crescent in base Or. Crest, a demi Griffin Ermine charged on the shoulder with five torteaux in corss and supporting with the claws a tilting spear erect the point broken off entwined by a branch of oak fructed proper.

A Grant of Arms was made to Humphrey Ballard which was to include all the descendants of his late father, Humphrey Ballard of Ludlow, co. Salop: A pedigree was entered in the College of Arms records, from the Grantee's father only. The Grantee died without issue, but his brother had sons.¹

     Richard Ballard was baptized on 3 August 1735 at Horsmonden, Kent, , England.¹ He was the son of Isaac Ballard.¹ Richard Ballard received fifth part or share of and in the said Trust monies and promises as the same shall from time to time come in and be received unto my brother Richard Ballard for and during the term of his natural life for his own use and benefit and from and immediately after his decease upon trust to pay and apply the principle or capital of such last mentioned fifth part or share together with any interest or dividends that may be then due in respect thereof unto and among all the grandchildren of him the said Richard Ballard both male and female in equal shares and proportions in Walter Ballard's will probated on 3 August 1822.²
