This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas
Ballard the younger of Edgwarebury Farm in the parish of Edgware in the county
of Middlesex. I give and devise and
bequeath from all of my real estates which I shall be possessed of all
interested in and all my personal estate and effects of every sort and kind unto
my dear wife Mary Ballard to hold to her her ears executors or administrators
and assigns or for ever and I hereby appoint my said wife Mary Ballard my
brother-in-law William Freeman of Well End <Henley> in the county of
Hertford Brewer and Benjamin Clayton of Barnett Common in the said county of
Middlesex Farmer executrix and executors of this my will.
In witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal this 12th day
of November in the year of our lord 1841. Thomas
Ballard (LS) signed sealed published and declared by the said to Thomas Ballard
Jr. as his last will and testament in the presence of us - George Ballard -

In the goods of Thomas Ballard the Younger deceased.
Appeared to personally George Ballard of Edgware in the
county of Middlesex Farmer and made a oath that on the 12th day of November
eight hundred and forty one (sic) he wasn't present and sir or Thomas Ballard
the Younger late of Edgwarebury farm in the parish of Edgware in the county of
Middlesex have signed his name "Thomas Ballard Jr.” at the foot or end of
his last Will and Testament in writing now hereunto annexed the said will
beginning "This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Ballard the
Younger of Edgwarebury Farm in the parish of Edgware in the county of
Middlesex" ending of "this 12th day of November in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one" and that such signature was
also made by the said Testator in the presence as well of this appearer as of
William S Tootell being both present and the same time and that he of the appear
at and the said William S Tootell attested the said will and subscribed their
names as witnesses are there two in the presence of the said testator as the
same now appears. George Ballard on
the first day of August one thousand eight hundred and forty two the said George
Ballard was duly sworn to the truth of this affidavit before me it John Danberry
Surr - P Edwd Potter Junr Not.Pub.
Proved at London at 2nd August, 1842 before
the worshipful John Danburry Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of Mary
Ballard widow the relic that of one of the executors to whom administration was
granted having been first sworn duly to administer.
Power reserved of making the like granted to William of freemen and
Benjamin Clayton and the other executors or whether they shall apply for the
same up.
