I Roger Ballard being weak in body but in perfect memory do bequeath my soul to God that created me and my body to the Earth to be decently buryed and I do make my beloved wife Magdalen Ballard my sole executrix. Item I give unto my said wife four hundred of red Earth and <two> booles of Callicoes <one> boot of napkins six <pieces> of Birds eye with half a hundred of Cotton <????> I bring now in the good ship called the Eagle with all wordly parts and parcel that is mine I bequeath wholly and solely to my said wife with all the money that is due to me from the East India Company And this I make as my will to said firm And all other wills or gifts that was made or promised before this to be made void and this I sign with my hand and seal this twentyfifth day of July in the year One thousand six hundred fifty and five.
