In the name of God Amen. I Nicholas Ballard of the parish of St Botolph’s Without Aldgate London being sick of body but thanks be to Almighty God of perfect memory do ordain and make this my last will and testament in manner and form following utterly revoking all other wills. First I give and bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God and trust through the merits of Jesus Christ my alone and only saviour that he will receive it and my body to be buried in proper burial in the churchyard of St Botolph’s aforesaid. Imprimis I give and bequeath to Thomas Younge the natural son of my natural sister Ellen Younge the now wife of Thomas Younge now dwelling in the Isle of Ely labourer ten shillings of lawful money of England. Item I give and bequeath to Anne natural daughter to my natural sister aforesaid ten shillings of like lawful money aforesaid. Item I give and bequeath to Ellen Younge the natural daughter of my natural sister aforesaid ten shillings of lawful money aforesaid. Item I give and bequeath to Mary Younge the natural daughter of my natural sister aforesaid ten shillings of lawful money of England. Item I give and bequeath to Margaret Younge the natural daughter of my natural sister aforesaid ten shillings of lawful money aforesaid. Item I give and bequeath to the youngest child son or daughter lawfully begotten of my natural sister Ellen Younge ten shillings of lawful English money aforesaid and I do ordain and make my natural wife Anne Ballard full and sole executrix of all my goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever with in this kingdom my debts paid and funeral discharged having to this my last will and testament <??????> set my hand and seal dated and 20th of May Anno Domini 1630 the <????> of Nicholas Ballard sealed and delivered in the presence of; the mark of Ellen Hall; the mark of Elizabeth Revisson; and me Timothy Bracegirdle clerk.
Probate granted in London 25th of May 1630 to Ann Ballard relict of the deceased.
