In the name of God Amen. I Nicholas Ballard late of Kent and now a prisoner in the gaol of her Majesties Bench do constitute and ordain this my last will and testament in writing herewith revoking all manner of former written wills by me made to be absolutely frustrated and of no force nor effect <????><?ail?abl?>. First thanks be to almighty that I being of perfect sense and memory do <yield> my soul to his gracious and merciful disposition whereby to be one of the participants of his <hord?> everlasting. Secondarily I <yield> my body unto decent <Sepulture> where my Executors hereof undernamed shall think <most fit>. Thirdly I do commit the charge and disposition of all such goods chattels and <chattels> Bonds Bills and <?sperialtir?> whereby I may by any due means of Law be invested of unto the <possession> of my <said> executors or any of them in as large <wise> as the law of the realm may permit without any contradiction or <compassion> for them and any of them by my said executors or any of them of the <which> <same> so to be <??rab???> by the <????s?> of Law and not otherwise. <All one> and <concionable> <commands> against me shall first be satisfied. Item that my <joint> executors over and besides the <allowenance> of all manner of charges and expenses imployed in and <about> the promises I do freely give and dispose <??t?> of my <???> <????> the several sums of fifty pounds apiece in consideration of and for their due travaile and troubles in and above for the premises and of the <????> remaining I would have employed in deeds of pity and charity towards my only daughter and Thomas Ballard the son of Thomas Ballard my younger brother late of Callice deceased as <unto> such other my former <servants> and good <fellows> that have taken pains about me who remain yet as unrecompensed thus <ceasing> and committing the proceeding of the promises to the direction of the almighty and fully and <primely> do nominate to supply the execution of the  executorship of this my last testament <jointly> and severally in all <lawfull> <wise> to be prosecuted and perfected Richard Leycolt of London Gentleman and the said Thomas Ballard the younger. In witness whereof these presents are undernamed. Nicholas Ballard sealed and delivered in the presence of us Edward Taylor John Lawsone Edmond <??????LL> grocer Roger <Well> Walter <Prime> grocer.

 28th July 1594 <transferred> commission Richard Ballard Saint Salvatoris in the town of Southwark in the County of Surrey nearest blood relative of the aforesaid deceased for administration of the goods and credit of the same deceased

NB Folio 102 of 1594 records the renouncement of the executor Thomas Ballard and the grant of administration to Richard Ballard of Southwark, Surrey.
