In the name of God Amen; May the 3 being in the year of our Lord God 1675. I Jane Ballard being weak in body but of perfect health of memory do ordain this as my lst will and testament to be fulfilled in manner following (viz). I bequeath my soul unto God from whom I received it hoping to be made <perta??ir> of everlasting life through the merits of Jesus Christ. Item I commit my body to the dust from whence it came And to be buried in decent manner to the discretion of them whom I leave in charge and to be buried in St Giles' Cripplegate church. And in the next place I do appoint and leave in charge my kinsman Thomas Roades as full executor over my goods and chattels to dispose as followeth. Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Robert Ballard the sum of ten pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Ballard the son of my brother Robert Ballard the leases of a house and grounds the situation of which is known to himself. Item I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman Sarah Shaxbey living at <Wollig> [Woolwich?] ten pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman Jane Fisher ten pounds. Item I give unto Richard Fisher her brother five pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto Dorothy Cater my kinswoman five pounds. Item I give unto Anne Burgess my kinswoman five pounds. Item I give unto my sister Cunningham if she be living five pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman Judith Ranthill five pounds. Item I give and beqeath unto my kinswoman Elline Colte five pounds. Item I give unto Mrs. Butler living Carry Lane 40 shillings. Item I give unto the poor of the Lordship part of the parish of St.Giles' Cripplegate ten pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto the poor among the people of whom Mr. Crouch is preacher of four pounds And 20 shillings to Mr.Crouch himself to teach my funeral sermon at his own place. Item I give and bequeath unto Francis West widow five pounds. Item I give unto <Weslig> Walton five pounds. All the rest of my estate goods and chattels I give and bequeath unto Thomas Roades my full executor to perform the afore mentioned. To which I set my hand and seal the day and date above written.
