In dei nominee Amen the 21st of October Anno dmi 1567 in the ixth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Elizabeth by the grace of god Queen of England France and Irelande defender of the faith etc. I Dennis Ballard Citizen and blacksmith of London being sick in body but whole in mind and remembrance thanks be to god do ordain and make this my present testament and last will in manner and form as followeth In Primis I give and bequeath my soul unto almighty god my creator Saviour and Redeemer and my body to be buried where my wife shall think moot and convenient. Item I give unto Henry <Perose> forty shillings and unto John <Cadynot> forty shillings and also I give to the English Church XXs likewise unto the French Church XXs and unto John Taylor curate of St. Brides ten shillings. All the rest of my goods moveable and immoveable Idebt and ready moneys or whatsoever to me appurtaineth with my house at Hammersmith called the George with all the appurtenances thereunto whatsoever And all my house wherein I now dwell to the end and full expiring of my lease I do freely give unto my wife Agnes Ballard and her heirs <s????> and assigns forever requiring her to pay my debts legacies and funeral charges willingly and I have given unto her all things before specified and in witness whereof I have caused this my present testament and last will to be written by John Taylor Curate of St Brides and the presence of Mr. Matthew and Henry <Porose> witnesses Also whom I do make overseers unto this my last will and testament Agnes Ballard to be sole executrix the day and year above written by me Dennis Ballard. By me John Taylor curate of St Brides.
