This is the last will and testament of me Ann Ballard of Bridgewater in the county of Somerset spinster I give to George Hart of Hampstead in the county of Middlesex stonemason the sum of £5.00 I give to Sarah Southward of <???> in the county of Somerset widow the sum of £5.00 I give to Mrs. Mary Bryant whose lodgings I now occupy (provided I shall be occupying them at the time of my death but not otherwise) the sum of £5.00 and the furniture of or <occo?????> to my bedroom at the time of my death I give devise and bequeath unto the said George Hart and his heirs all such real estate as I shall be vested in at the time of my death as a mortgagee or trustee but never <???????>  upon and subject to the <??????> and trusts affecting the same but as to the monies to be received from any mortgages upon trust to allow the same to fall into and form part of my residuary estate and effects hereinafter <????> have <???> and as to or for and concerning all other my estate and effects and all my monies and securities for money household goods furniture and chattels of every description not hereinbefore disposed of subject to the charges for the payment of my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses and the aforesaid legacies I give and devise and bequeath the same unto and equally between the said George Hart and Sarah Hart widow and William Hart builder both of Hempstead aforesaid their executors or administrators and assigns as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and I appoint the said George Hart executor of this my will in witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed and set my hand and seal the 24th day of October 1846 –Ann Ballard - signed and sealed published and declared by the said Ann Ballard as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other present at the same time have here unto subscribed our names as witnesses P. Proved at London 19th August, 1848 befor the worshipful Joseph Phillimore doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of George Hart the sole executor to whom administration was granted having been first sworn duly to administer.
