William de Bildesthorpe, on complaint by William Thorntoft, king's clerk, that
whereas he had in his house in Southwerk, co. Surrey, placed certain goods and
writings in a chest secured with a lock and delivered the same to William
Ballard of Southwerk to be kept safe and returned to him at his pleasure, the
said Willaim Ballard and Clemencia his wife broke open the chest in his house
and carried away the contents thereof.

William Ballard of the manor of Welde, co. Essex as one of many tenants in
Welde who hold one knight's fee between them from Hugh and Eleanor.

like grant to him as chief sargeant of the poultry of 10l yearly.

of Canterbury, by whose forfeiture the same belong to the King by virtue of
