Geoffrey Spark v. Robert, son of Thomas Ballard,

Replication of Geoffrey Sparke to the answers of Robert Ballard,

No date

Robert Ballard is the son and heir of Thomas Ballard and admits that Thomas enfoeffed the meadow {in Kidbrook} for the use of John Onhgam and his heirs and assigns. John Ongham is now dead, Robert Ongham, his brother, is his heir and it was agreed that that the meadow and other lands should be “made estate’ to Robert Ongham for his use during his life time and, after his death, to his sons Robert and Thomas, and their heirs and assigns forever. Robert, the father, and his son Thomas are now dead. After their deaths, Geoffrey Spark purchased the meadow from Robert, son of Robert Ongham. Robert Ballard has acknowledged this. Thomas Ballard, since the time of the enfoeffement, had never given an interest in the meadow or any parcel of it, to any other man during his lifetime. Asks that Robert Ballard be summoned before the court to make more answers.
